Why we love Bamboobies,
and pack it in every Belly & Bag
If you know Belly & Bag by Baby Boldly, you know we spent a year sourcing and vetting the best non-toxic contents to offer busy, expecting mommas a pre-packed hospital birth bag. We’re two moms who have “gone before you” and are proud to make preparing for birth easier than before. We love that our bag makes mommas feel confident in their prep for their hospital birth.
There’s a thousand birth bag checklists available and while much is the same, there are plenty of differences that can dizzy any momma-to-be. As one of our customers states, “Baby Boldly takes the guesswork out of knowing what to pack.” But we didn’t just want to sell expecting mommas a brilliant idea that saved them time and stress, we wanted to help her care for her body, too. So we took our time and only packed the best non-toxic inclusions available that would be effective, yet gentle and safe for her sacred body.
Researching, vetting, leaking, choosing, packing - so you don't have to.
When we were thinking about the ultimate non-toxic, prep-packed hospital birth bag, our checklist included nursing pads. While some bodies need them before birth and others don’t need them until after they've checked out of the hospital, we knew including them would ensure new mommas were better prepared for their changing bodies. A hallmark of Belly & Bag by Baby Boldly is that it’s contents are all non-toxic, promising the best for momma’s health and wellbeing. We’re mommas ourselves, so between the two of us, we’ve tried a lot of different nursing pads in our breastfeeding journeys. After surveying the market, reflecting on our own experiences, we chose Bamboobies brand for our included nursing pads.
Bamboobies brand was started by a breastfeeding momma
If you aren’t familiar with Bamboobies, here’s the quick scoop. Bamboobies was, of course, founded by a fellow momma who was disappointed in the lack of quality nursing pads available. Like many new mommas, she was surprised how challenging breastfeeding could be. So Kerry Gilmartin did her homework and developed the kind she thought all mommas deserved. Then she created a whole line of quality products for new mommas to compliment their journey into and through motherhood. We love that! #boldmomma Here's an interesting interview done with the founder momma, Kerry, on Babycare Magazine.
Why this matters...
From eco-conscious packaging and non-toxic ingredients, when we use Bamboobies, we’re not only using motherhood solutions that are safe, comfortable and effective, but we’re taking better care of the planet, too! Did we mention how comfortable and cute these nursing pads are? We pack the disposable ones in our non-toxic, pre-packed hospital birth bags, which makes it easy for momma to toss once they’ve done their job - absorbing leaking milk while your body regulates itself adjusting to baby’s needs! If you’re returning to work, these will be an essential part of your back to work wardrobe. Depending on your body and your lifestyle, disposable versus washable/reusable is a personal choice. Make sure they’re top quality - like Bamboobies!
