A Quiet Start to a Bold Year: Oh, hi 2025

A Quiet Start to a Bold Year: Oh, hi 2025

It's 2025, and we've been getting bolder for 7 years!

That's right - we celebrated our business birthday on January 1st and so if you're a mom, partner or gift-giver we want to say "thank you" for being an integral part of our bold attempt at this business.

In 2025 we're admittedly off to a quiet start (if you hadn't noticed). Most of the brands we admire are, too. They're bold and they're taking this new year in stride. We are grateful to those of you who will take it in stride with us.

If you're curious, here's what we've been up to, so far...

1. We've reclaimed 30% of our time. How? 3 words: App. Time. Limits. It's shamelessly remarkable how this automated limit has freed up so much time for us. If you need more time in the day, we can almost guarantee it's beneath the hours you're scrolling. No judgement, but we think app time limits are key to unlocking more time in your day. We didn't think we could do it, but we're never going back...

Curious what this could do for you? It's pretty simple set-up. Learn how-to here.

2. Our dedication to well-being doesn't stop there; this automatic limit on a time-wasting habit has opened up space for us to read more! Here's a recc for you: "New Earth" by Eckhardt Tolle. It's the only book to have earned double nominations from Oprah herself! We had to read what she was buzzing about - have you read it, yet?

3. We've incorporated a somatic flow routine in order to ease stress, anxiety, and general soreness. Have you heard of this before or ever tried it? We felt the benefits immediately! Less discomfort, more peacefulness. Here's an example of our flow: Start with a deep breath and release and stillness. Do a quick, but methodical scan of your entire body, head-to-toes. After your scan, begin making a wave-like motion over every inch of your body. (Yes, you will feel silly - really silly. And while that's not the point, it is the key to releasing pent-up stress, anger, frustration, irritability, soreness, etc.) Do this thoroughly and then gradually bring back the stillness and take three deep breaths. You could do this daily or 1x week - whatever you have time for will benefit you. (We're not medical pros, so this well-meaning advice shouldn't take precedent over anything yours says.)

4. In addition to nurturing our minds, we've been nourishing our bodies with homemade copycat recipes. We are smitten about saving money on the flavors we enjoy when we go out to eat. All sorts of viruses are ruining family routines right now, so we've been savoring this particular recipe to keep the -ick away/soothe our flu symptoms. Here's just one example of an over-priced drink from (almost) everyone's favorite coffee shop: "Medicine Ball" below...

This journey in business-and-motherhood has always been about finding more closeness with the balance in life we yearn for, and it seems 2025 is more intentional than ever before. This year calls for boldness and these are the changes we've committed ourselves to carry us on hills and valleys ahead. We're happy to share it with you - our cherished community of bold moms, birth partners, and thoughtful gift-givers.
